In my flurry of school assignments and work deadlines, I nearly missed the fact that June is the start of a new element for project spectrum - air. Air is symbolized by a spectrum of grays, yellows, and whites. This should be a fun element to work with because I tend to shoot a lot of images in those colors.
Additionally, I must sheepishly admit that a new project spectrum element conveniently gets me off the hook for a knitting post. Spring and summer are so fleeting here in Alberta; it seems almost a blasphemy to mother nature to be sitting indoors knitting when the garden is calling me - or - the Babe is calling me to go climbing some scary rock face with him. My knitting is taking a serious backseat to all of these other equally loved activities.
I promise there will be some knitting projects completed - you know, socks and such - at some point over the next couple of months. Also, there is always a great yarn purchase to share; however, the call of the great outdoors is a potent distraction to all things knitted right now. Above is my Ode to White and Grey, courtesy of my backyard.

Oh man, I love the flowers! Are they peonies? Peonies are my favorites. ;o)
Gorgeous picks. Knitting's really more of a winter sport - go out there and enjoy the sunshine!
Love the pictures! They're stunnning! Sometimes, it's just too hot to knit.
Your photographs are always incredibly delightful, so gorgeous!
Hey... get out there and enjoy it while you can, there will be plenty of time for the knitting when Summer takes her leave... :^)
hello! I'm back! We have an apartment - moved in 2 days ago and finally have the internet as well! Love the pictures as usual - maybe some rainy days will allow you to jump back on the knitting!
There may be no knitting, but your pictures are lovely!
Knitting does seem rather a winery occupation, enjoy the weather while you can.
Definitely enjoy the weather while you can! I can knit now since it appears mother nature is trying to turn our desert into a rain forest. Every break we get, I'm out in the garden but those are few and far between.
Great pics!
Those are beautiful images, so serene and gentle.
Lovely pictures! I couldnt agree more, knitting and warm weather just dont seem to go together!
They're very fleeting here in northern BC, as well. Makes them so much more enjoyable, though. A nice break to the snow and cold of the winter - although, I could do without the bugs. ;)
Enjoy the sun!
Yay for this element, and those photos are heavenly as ever. Good for you getting out there in the fresh air.
Don't worry about the knitting, I love your pictures so keep them coming! The summer is so lovely you need to be out there, be careful on the ricks!
beautiful!
So, what is this project spectrum that I "hear" about every now and then?
Summer is good for knitting only when you want to get ready for winter and knitting takes you some time like it does to me. I like how knitting magazines are full of completely impractical patterns for summer, like knitted tops for the beach etc.
I get very little done indoors during the summer months, so I understand. Beautiful photos!! I'm about to start reading through your archives. :)
wow! stunning nature pictures. the bird is beautiful!
Gorgeous pictures! Wow. I don't blame you for wanting to be outdoors - you definitely need to find a balance between the things you love. Especially when you are in school! Good luck withe the remainder of your course.
Beautiful pictures. I've come to the conclusion that especially in Canada, blogging and crafting need to take a back seat in the summer!
lovely images.
love it!
lovely image and the colors are so gentle and delicate, my compliments!!! and you are right now it's time to enjoy the outdoor life, here in italy it's raining so much everyday and we are waiting the sunning italian days!!! have a nice monday!
Beautiful! I like the white and gray theme. I'm curious about more on the project spectrum too...I must have missed something--LOL! Happy week...and thanks so much for visiting! :o)
