kitchen poetry: day 2

The kitchen god - every kitchen should have a deity. I have had this Buddha for a long time and he has always kept a cheerful eye on my kitchen. I love how ample he is; a perfect symbol of a kitchen that offers sustenance and good food.

LOL I think I'm turning into our "Kitchen Buddha". It doesn't help that the hubby is an excellent cook.

Great picture, btw. :-)

What a great symbol for a kitchen! I picked up a small buddha while in Nepal - I'll have to dig him up and put in my kitchen :)

that's a great place for buddha! found a gorgeous one in thailand, but it was too big to carry back...pity.

we do, however, have one of those wood-carved tree spirits that hang by the door to guard your home. it suits us :)
