the goddess of knitting....

...well, I don't think that Devi is the goddess of knitting, but it's the only thing I could come up with. Definitely the creative bug is entrenching itself in the house because I have been knitting, buying fabric for possible pillows and thinking decorating and Christmas. On the plus side, the Babe has been laying our hardwood floors and they are almost half done....and I found a guy to hang my black wallpaper! I know black wallpaper conjures up weird images of goth decor, but I promise you that will not be the case.

I found some sumptuous silk in brilliant colors of azure blue and lime green - I am thinking that there is absolutely room in my home for such colors. And what am I knitting - well, I am attempting this little piece here. I have a feeling my yarn might be a bit too thick but we will see how it turns out. The pattern is very addictive and I can't put my knitting down.

Enjoy your weekend.

That is some gorgeous fabric! And the tea leaves cardigan makes me want to run out and buy the yarn now! Although, if I lived where you do, I'd want a higher neck and longer sleeves, possibly long enough to completely cover my fingers!

All your crafty endeavors look like they will be fantastic! And so exciting to see you starting a sweater and becoming addicted to it! :) I hope your yarn ends up working out.

Please, oh please show us how black wallpaper is incorporated into your rooms when it is up...I'm intriqued but having trouble picturing it!

Looking forward to seeing your designing touches! I know Christmas and decorating is a special time for you - didn't you have a fish story last year ;)

Great cardigan pattern - I'm knitting with some of her yarn now and it's really nicely dyed.

Great color combination.

And your cardi is looking very nice so far. Once I saw the pattern I knew I'd have to knit it. Now if I can just pick out what color I want. :D

I joke that my daughter will be asking for black wallpaper in her teenage years (she's only 2). It makes me feel better about all the pastels currently in her bedroom.

But I'm sure yours will look perfectly elegant! Be sure to post pictures please :)
