something new

I wanted a new bag and decided to crochet one.....I had to frog it four times. First the circle was too big and the bag was gigantic, so after 50 rows of crochet I frogged. Second time - still huge - after 40 rows I frogged. Third time was too small and the fourth time - I don't know what I was thinking. Finally something I am very happy with. Of course the cat immediately rubbed her hair all over it and won't leave the bag alone. I am not certain what attracts her to it. Here are the goods:

yarn - sublime cashmere silk aran and Debbie Bliss merino aran (don't think they make this any more)
hook - 3.75 cm
mods - I did 11 rounds for the circle on the bottom and then did 29 rounds for the remainder - in total 40 rounds

Now if I could just figure out how to read the patterns in my Japanese crochet book and make them work left handed!! Happy weekend all.

Oh I love that! The colours are so nice and summery. There is a Japanese group on Ravelry that may be able to help with the pattern reading. I am OK with their knit patterns but crochet foxes me! have a good weekend. x

Those colours make me happy just looking at them.
I've recently picked up my crochet hook again for some baby blankets...I am now thinking I need a new bag.

Beautiful job (and beautiful kitty too!)

Are you left handed? Congratulations, so am I. And Dominik. I am learning how to handle it well with him, no one cared about my disposition during socialist schooling, of course, so I have no knowledge about it.
Crocheting: I have also discovered the pleasure of it and your bag is really nice, nice colors, very happy one. I think the cat thinks it is a flowery meadow.

Gorgeous bag. You must be very patient Raina. If I had to frog something 4 times it would probably end up in the trash!

Having trouble re-entering the internet world but finally catching up on all your crochet goodness! You certainly caught the bug didn't you Raina! And considering the amazing things you are producing (this bag, the pillow, the blanket I'm anxiously waiting to see finished!), it seems as if that's a good thing! Now. About those socks you've been neglecting. :)
