yes you spy a sock!
I was going to make spiced nuts and this amazing chocolate-dipped shortbread today...and I did make both those things... and both were a disaster. The spiced nuts were a new recipe and I should have just stuck to my old one...I'm sure you have all been there! The shortbread was fantastic until I dipped it in chocolate and put it on the wire rack to let the excess drip off, to which wire rack the shortbread proceeded to adhere to with such passion that not a single scraping implement I owned could pry it loose. Sigh! And additionally, nothing at all tastes good to me right now, probably because I have been stuffing my face with all kinds of food for the last two weeks and right now, I think one of those juicing diets is probably not a bad thing.
On the other hand, I am nearly done my first sock in like two years and I did sleep in this morning under my lovely crochet blanket. All in all, a good day.

Too bad about the baking but the crochet and knitting look great!
So sorry about the recipe disasters :-(
LOVE the crochet in these photos, and seeing a sock-in-progress always makes me want to knit one too.
Happy holidays!
Oh yes crochet to awaken to and knitting on a sock sound like good antidotes to baking gone bad!
Bummer. Oh well, these things happen, right? I hope you were able to break off the shortbread and eat them. I do adore your blanket. It's so pretty. Happy sock making.
Sweet dreams with this lovely blanket...
Sometimes there are days like that no? A sock!! So glad to see you knitting again! And wow...that blanket is amazing.
