weirdness

All I can say is -30C...that is so freakishly cold...and with the windchill about -40 and the dryness, I feel like my skin cannot possibly stretch any further. I have been slathering on face cream like never before. So, I did what any normal person should do under these circumstances and finished making the Babe's socks, which I then promptly borrowed. I also started another pair of socks because there is just no such thing as too many hand-knit socks!

Very weird week at work...I have worked almost every day for the last two weeks from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. In a nutshell our company has been bought out by another. A very common occurrence here in oil and gas town.  Being an investor relations manager, it has not exactly been a picnic for me.  What does that mean for me? Meh, dunno! It could mean a great severance or working for someone new.  I have to sit two months in limbo before I know.  I hate that. Considering I just started working for this company after working for 10 years at my old one....it's a great deal of change in my life in a short while. All I can do is wait and breathe...and knit :)

Happy weekend.

Seattle has been hit with a weather storm and we have had a week of snow days. The weather has trapped us within our respective neighborhoods and induced cabin fever. As much fun as it is, it is easy to go a bit bonkers. However, I have been complaining about the freezing temperatures of 30' F. I can't even imagine the frigidness of where you live!

Congratulations on your company getting bought, assuming that is a good thing. Whether you stay or move on, I'm hoping much success for you!

BTW, your skin in your last post is amazing. So stunning.

Oh how I hate waiting in limbo! My hope is that everything will turn out for the very best for you. Knitting is probably good medicine right now!

Deep breathing and deep knitting definitely the order of the day!

...waiting/not knowing is such a hard time. Hope all goes the way you hope for.
-30 before the windchill is too cold! If you have than now, we'll have it in 2 weeks, brrrr
Lovely knitting - handknit socks are the best winter comfort!
Stay warm!

I hope your work situation works out well for you once you get through the uncertainty. We're having exactly that weather here and I feel like a shedding lizard with my dry skin. It is great knitting weather, though.

We are having strange weather too! Not quite as cold as you but tons of snow that melts off with tons of rain...rinse and repeat!

Sorry to hear that things are so unstable with work...hopefully things will work themselves out!

Grey and rain here today... Good to know the knitting is helping the weirdness. I have to try knitting some socks. Take care. Stay warm.
