I recently went to a restaurant and asked our server how large the dinner portions were because I needed to save room for dessert. He told me about a friend of his who went to "the french laundry" restaurant with him. This particular friend <I>always</I> orders dessert first. She ordered it first there and the server told her that's not how things work...
